The Bread Offering for November is Women's Christian Life Fellowship
WCLF has in the past year (thanks to your generous donations and two
successful garage sales) redecorated the Nursery and the former
Choir/Youth room – making the latter into a nice meeting room. They also bought two attractive chairs for the Narthex. We need to thank them for their efforts to help make the church more comfortable for us as well as more
appealing to visitors.
The group has also raised some funds and obtained an
estimate from Ken Schott on redecorating both upstairs bathrooms (which haven’t been changed much since the church was built). They have collected about three-quarters of the money, but are now on hold until more money is provided. You can help with this renovation with your donations in the month of November.
Women’s Fellowship Collects Funds to “Strengthen the Church”
Also in November, the Women’s Fellowship, which collects money for the UCC “Strengthen the Church Offering”, will wind up this annual effort by presenting the funds to the church for dedication at the Thanksgiving worship on Sunday, November 21st. We thank the ladies of the Women’s Fellowship for their faithful support of this offering which helps to make St. John’s a “Five for Five” church. This means we receive all five of the UCC denominational offerings. Click here for more information on these offerings.
